Why would we name a bicycle after NYC’s most notoriously unreliable train?
After constant delays, hot subway cars, and a shutdown on the train in NYC, we set out to give riders a better solution for everything from weekend rides to everyday commuting. On the L-Train, the frame is light and agile, the Gates Carbon Drive belt is smooth and clean, and the multi-speed Shimano internal hub gives range for hills and responsiveness for speed. All without the demand of routine maintenance.
If you’ve ridden the NYC Subway, you can think of it as a local and an express. Both bicycles have the same fit and geometry. They are designed to comfortably handle hills, road debris, and a range of short to long rides. If you are between the two, the V-Brake version is more of your local train-with a lighter build and rim brakes. It’s perfect for 2-3 season riding from weekend cruising to fair weather commuting. If you are looking at more of a commuter focus and all-season approach, go with the Disc Brake version. Disc brakes provide more durability, even lower maintenance, and optimal stopping power in all weather scenarios.
Perfect for the recreational rider or light commuter looking to take on longer rides, rolling hills, and varied speeds in an eye-catching package.

The signature feature of all Priority Bicycles - the rust and grease free Carbon Drive belt. Originally designed for use in automotive applications, the Carbon Drive belt manages torque much better than a chain and won’t break like a chain leaving you stranded. Plus, it won’t stain your hands or clothing!
Unchain yourself from clunky, greasy traditional casette and deraileur systems. Internally geared hubs run longer and don't demand the same routine maintenance as traditional rear derailleur sets. This makes for a low hassle, ultra smooth ride. Once you try it, you won't go back.
Find the right system for you with V-Brakes or all-weather hydraulic disc brakes. If you are looking for a recreational solution, go with the V-brake option. If you are looking for something commute-forward, select disc brakes.
A double-butted, reinforced, and responsive chromoly frame that is quick when it needs to be and comfortable when it needs to be. The L Train gives you enough of a forward position to generate and carry speed, while still keeping your head up for traffic.
Fight flats, thorns, and road debris with puncture resistant tires. The 700c x 32 tires are responsive on your rides while still having a bit of width for comfort.
If you put on accessories like a front basket or a rear rack to hold pannier bags, make sure you bike is balanced and not going to tip over!
A sporty saddle and comfortable wrapped grips are weather resistant for adverse conditions.
The L Train is a versatile commuter bicycle. Its feature set positions it between the Gotham and Continuum Onyx. Where the Gotham is great for light commuting and around town riding, the L Train offers more speeds (7 or 8) and a more sporty seating position. This makes it ideal for larger hills or a faster commute. For those riders seeking an all-season approach with their L Train, select the L Train Disc, where you have all the nimble speed and style with all-season stopping power.
If riders are looking for a more robust all-season feature, move to the Continuum Onyx which features dynamo powered lights, composite fenders, and a sealed CVT hub

We offer the best warranty and the best customer service in the industry. We protect against any material and workmanship defects all backed by 7-day-a-week customer service. That’s a real, staff person ready to answer any questions. Even if we aren’t riding with you, we’ve got your back.
You have questions. We have answers.
Is the L Train an aggressive fit?
No, the geometry is set up so that you get a nice athletic pedal stroke, but you aren’t over reaching- stressing your back and wrists. It should be noted that it has a higher, flatter top bar, so check the size chart for the right inseam size.
Is the Gates Carbon Drive good in the rain?
The Gates Carbon Drive Belt and internal gearing are as weather-proof as you are! Sometimes in a lot of grit, you might hear some rubbing when the belt dries- it’s just a little dirt- spray some water on and 99% of the time it goes away while continuing to be super smooth and simple!
I’m not sure if I should get the disc or v-brake setup. What do you think?
If you want to casually ride - go V Brakes. If you are considering commuting or all season riding- make the move to the disc brake version.
