ABOUT PRIORITY BICYCLES
When we launched the single-speed Ace of Spades a few years ago, our team immediately began tinkering and modifying it to make it more aggressive. We took everything we loved about the Ace and tweaked it with velodrome and closed course racing in mind. The result is the Joker—a sleek design with a well-considered part spec that keeps the maintenance low and speeds high. When it comes to fixed gear race bikes, this is hands-down the best value on the market.
A belt driven speed machine that can accelerate in an instant and dive into turns with effortless confidence.

No track slack, no rust, and no grease in a high-performance, ultra-responsive belt drive that outperforms standard chains.
A 70-tooth front sprocket is an absolute show stopper! It anchors the bicycle visually and delivers power to the 22-tooth rear cog. The Joker is made to move—fast.
Firm and light, the alloy frame is primed for speed with race-specific geometry that glides through turns.
No joke, this baby comes stock with 60mm-deep carbon rims, bolt-on hubs, and fixed rear hub. Let's gooooo!
Fork, yeah! The Joker features a 20mm setback seatpost with a full carbon tapered fork.
The Eagle F1, part of Goodyear's Road UHP (Ultra High-Performance) range, is the ultimate road race tire. It's optimized for outright performance favoring straight line speed and cornering competence.

We recommend sizing based on your leg inseam. To properly determine your inseam, measure from the top of your crotch to the ground with your shoes off. Please watch the below video and contact us any time with questions!
You have questions. We have answers.
Why did you design this bike?
We wanted to empower racers with the smooth feel, responsiveness, and low maintenance of a Gates drivetrain, and create a turn-key race bike at an unbeatable price. We took everything we love about the Ace and tweaked it with velodrome racing in mind.
Can I use brakes on the Joker?
The Joker does not ship with brakes and is intended for velodrome use only while in its stock configuration. The frame and fork have brake mounts, so it is possible to install caliper brakes on the bicycle, but you will need to change the wheels since the 60mm deep carbon rims do not have brake tracks. The Joker is compatible with most off-the-shelf track wheels (3/8" axles front and rear, and 100mm hub spacing front, 120mm hub spacing rear)—including the wheels from our Ace of Spades model—and is compatible with most off-the-shelf road brake calipers. If you want to install brakes on the Joker, we recommend you work with your local bike shop.
Can I change the gearing?
The stock gearing is 70-tooth front, 22-tooth rear, fixed cog and comes in at 86 gear inches. Additional fixed cogs are available separately. With the stock 122-tooth CDX belt, and the stock front sprocket, there is room in the rear dropouts to use a 21-tooth (90 gear inches), 20-tooth (94.5 gear inches), or 19-tooth rear fixed cog (99.5 gear inches). Changing the fixed cog is as simple as it is on our Ace model, and requires a 15mm open wrench, a strap wrench, an outboard bottom bracket socket, and a 4mm Allen wrench to adjust belt tension. The stock rear wheel is not compatible with a freewheel, but it allows you to install one fixed cog on each side for quick gearing changes. If you change the gearing or adjust the rear wheel, be sure to tighten the belt tensioner bolts down before AND after tightening the axle nuts to avoid any slippage. This work should be performed by a local bike shop.
Can I skid on the Joker?
Skidding or slowing with backpedal pressure puts less force on the drivetrain than the force of a powerful rider during acceleration.
How fast can this baby go?
How fast can you spin your legs?! With the stock gearing, if you can spin your legs up to 140 rpm, you'll be going about 36 mph. With a 19-tooth cog installed, at a cadence of 140 rpm, you'll be going about 41.5 mph.
What is the tire clearance?
The Joker comfortably clears the stock 25mm tires front and rear. Most 28mm tires clear, but check with your local bike shop.
Where can I ride the Joker?
With no brakes, the Joker is specifically designed for a velodrome or similar track.
Is the Joker CPSC compliant?
The Joker is not CPSC compliant as it is a Track Bicycle. A Track Bicycle is defined as a bicycle designed and intended for sale as a competitive velodrome machine having no brake levers or calipers, single crank-to-wheel ratio, and no free-wheeling feature between the rear wheel and the crank. A Track Bicycle is not subject to CPSC regulations or testing. THIS BICYCLE IS ONLY TO BE USED ON A VELODROME OR SIMILAR TRACK.
